Heirloom spearmint is extremely easy to grow. Use fresh or dried in tea, sauces, jellies or as a garnish and in potpourri and other fragrant decorative items. Fast spreader with bright green, saw-toothed leaves and a strong, mint flavor.
Probably the most used culinary mint. This perennial grows to 3 feet tall.

Days to Germination: 12 days. Sowing Depth 0.23". Start seed indoors and transplant when large enough to handle. The plant is invasive and should be grown in pots or in lengths of plastic pipe buried in the ground. Prefers moist, rich soil, shaded from strong afternoon sun.
