Product information

Cayenne Red Chili Pepper
[Vegetable]
$1.79

One of the most widely used hot peppers in cooking, the cayenne is a delicious and hot red pepper growing to 6-8". Hot but delightfully pungent in flavor! For pickling canning and drying.

Five to seven inches long one-half inch thick green fruits that turn red when mature.

Days To Maturity: 63-68

Approximately 25 seeds per packet

Used dry or fresh in Salsas.

Planting: Gardeners should be aware of cross-pollinating issues, and should not plant any hot pepper near a bell or sweet pepper plant. Cayennes like moist, but not soggy, soil. They should be planted in a container or bed with good drainage and can be mulched with straw or something similar. As a rule, peppers are hardy plants and the gardener can usually plant them in most climates with confidence.
