An excellent heirloom green bell pepper, nice size and very good yield, a popular old-time variety. They are one of the easiest crops to grow, and are not much bothered by pests.

Planting: Plant California Wonder Bell Peppers after all danger of frost has passed. Plant transplants that were started from seed when the soil has reached 60 degrees. The soil can be pre-warmed by covering with black plastic prior to planting. Space plants 20" to 24" apart in well drained soil in full sun. Water as needed. During the first few weeks of the growing season cover small pepper plants with cut off milk jugs at night.
